As usual, unpack the zip file and copy the contents into mt/plugins. You'll end up with:
mt/plugins/twitter/twitter.pl
mt/plugins/twitter/tmpl/config.tmpl
Go to Preferences/Plugins or Plugin Settings for the blog you wish to announce posts on and enter your twitter login details. Note that this is unusually on a per blog+user basis so that if a blog has multiple authors, multiple Twitter accounts may be used.
Next, create a post - you'll notice on the edit screen a tick box to announce the post on twitter. Tick or untick this as necessary and publish. Note that if this checkbox is ticked when you later update the post then the details will be passed to Twitter again. If you do not see the twitter checkbox, ensure your edit screen is displaying 'Publishing' information for the entry.
